I forgot there are FIVE consecutive championship seasons, no breaks! Damn prolly why the men 100m tiimes are slow af. I suspect many will skip Tokyo ‘25. They put their body through hell to reach peak doing it 5 consecutive years/cycle is not sustainable. Be honest, since she became a media sensation, which was pretty much instantly, you never liked her and have been hoping for her failure. You're not even fooling yourself that it is because of this event (Kersee talking to rhe press, really?)) or any other legit reason.

Why can't the middle-aged white men of this board just be open about being irked whenever a young black woman becomes the face of American track and field or Gymnastics or Tennis. Which of course is always going to happen, because they are the best athletes on Earth. The other possibility is she cannot cope with Kersee's training regime. You need to be on PEDS to survive it - just ask Angela Bailey - maybe she is broken. After another bout of Covid she might simply not be strong enough for his workouts.

Regarding other interests, it's many little girls dream to be model. I get that. But I doubt she will be successful in such a cut throat business.

Olympics or WC from ‘21-‘25 can feel like a slog if the expectation is you win and dominate every race.

After an Olympic gold and a WC gold on home soil- why not skip a major meet in Budapest to rest and focus on the much, much higher profile meeting in Paris next year.

Drug accusations are stupid. At 16 she broke the American record for 600m. She ran 2 min flat as a 17 yr old. Was she on drugs then? She could afford drugs and a dr to administer them at 16 and 17? Living in poverty in Trenton NJ ghettos?

If that's not realistic, then whats the issue? You had an immensely talented 16 to 17 yr old who got down to 1:56 in the 800 by 19. A kid cant drop 4 seconds in two years without drugs?

Its not like she was a 2:15 800m runner at 17 who dropped below 2 min in the next two years.
