If you're going to accuse someone of doping, just list their name instead of beating around the bush (eventhough everyone knows who you're talking about). If you have zero hard evidence other than "so and so's former coach's husband doped his athletes," then don't say anything.
She's only 19 and stuff like this will mess with her mind and make her commit suicide or something crazy like that.
The decline and fall of Houlihan/Schweizer/Quigley is an immense loss to American distance running - Schumacher owes us an explanation.
No, he doesn't. He's had a ton of success over the last few years and nothing to prove to anybody. Athletes get injured. It happens at a lot of groups, this just happens to be a high profile group so people are harder on them. Ask UAC about their injuries.
I like reading his stuff when he isn't being a condescending preacher. But I can't see how he could get results, he seems to soft to be a successful coach.

I know Jackie Areson was good for a 2 year period, no good before or after 🤔
Steve Magness conference XC finishes while head distance coach at Houston:
I agree re: Magness. His role in how all that went down never sat well with me. He was like a low-level cheat rolling over on a higher-level cheat, and we’re supposed to celebrate him for that!? For the most part, I figure it’s all fine and good to get the higher-level guys. BUT, now that it looks like Magness is getting all uppity to call out others in situations he’s not involved with? Nah, man… that doesn’t work for me. Evidently, he’s forgotten that he’s a scumbag like the rest of them.
This is the truth. Magness only "whistleblew" because he was mad he got fired. For all of his current FAKE moral outrage about doping, one would have expected him to not dope himself and to report Alberto immediately. But that's not what happened. Magness was HAPPY to dope himself, it was probably his idea.
Magness is the only "athlete" that Salazar ever doped - and that's only because Magness told everyone he was retired but never registered his retirement with the appropriate anti-doping agencies. If Magness did what he was supposed to do, it would have all been LEGAL.

Be careful! I've posted his results numerous times and every single time the post got deleted. I would only post factual info, no names. The mods love to protect Magness from his own DISMAL results.
You are correct. Colleges don't teach the basics well.
No should they. Relying on colleges to teach basic grammar seems like a really expensive way to educate society. The basics should be taught in primary and secondary schools; colleges need to focus on higher level content and skill development, especially given their high cost. I learned the difference between "affect" and "effect" in grade school.

You need to get a grip, Sport. Seriously. "Stuff like this" is nothing compared to the stuff the people you are defending did to her. To suggest that a few posts on a website, no matter how unhinged, are more dangerous to her mental health than the abuse she suffered from her coach and mentor is shameful.
If you are going to call out people for not speaking truth to power, why not start with Lauren? As far as I know, she still hasn't condemned Nick's abuses in public. Why is that?
You know what they say, Sport: Omerta is for famiglia.

Oh, I can guess why she hasn’t, and why he hasn’t turned on her. There’s a word that sums it all up:
1. Magness was the willing subject of experiments for intravenous L-Carnitine supplementation while working at NOP. It is not a banned substance but, is now subject to concentration limits and IV dosing is prohibited.
2. Quigley never supported Houlihan. In fact, they despise one another. Quigley was one of the first athletes to openly speak about Burrito Gate by stating that she wasn't surprised that Shelby got popped.
3. If you don't like a take, then make a cogent argument against it. Allegations of possible doping and the nefarious behavior of coaches that engaged in doping do not magically disappear because of spelling errors and poor word usage on social media. Give it a rest, Grammar Nazis!

Good post but I would like a source for 2. I never heard of her speaking out against Shelby doping, though I did assume the two don’t like each other.
For everyone who thinks that we should go soft on someone who is probably cheating for their age (which is over 18) I want to remind everyone that Ruth jebet was just 19 when she won Olympic gold and 20 when she was caught. Ruth represented Bahrain and no one “could find her” when the news broke but that didn’t stop people from tearing her down for doping. You really think Ruth was not a subject of exploitation and abuse? I think it was pretty clear. So I am once again screaming from the rooftops for consistency. If you have no empathy for someone like Ruth and worry about a blonde Americans mental health in all this, please look inward. Fwiw I care about both of them as people but doping suspicions should be taken seriously
