Weird dude with a breeding kink trying to dictate how other people live. If this dude wasn’t rich, people would be calling him a loser for his weird behavior and antics. But since his dad made a bunch of money owning diamond mines in apartheid South Africa and passed that money on to him, we are supposed to listen to what he say? He’s not smart. He hasn’t invented anything. All he has ever done is buy a bunch of companies that other people have started and try to pass it as his own. Rich people does had equal smart people. One of his kids already legally separated from him, more will follow suit as they get older. His had slept with his step daughter whom he raised since she was a little girl. He probably doesn’t know the location of where all of his kids are 99% of the time. As if we need more of this weird family.
It's a sound idea, but it would be better if a married couple with children under 18 got an extra vote.
Presumably, his motivation is more to do with encouraging people to have children.
So few people willing to speak out on the demographic crisis caused by a decline in birth rates. Probably because it runs counter to the climate change religion mantra of humans being evil and already overrunning and exhausting the planet, and secondly because it's really about women not having enough children - which is obviously about as taboo as it gets.
Also, truly funny seeing people call billionaires like Musk 'morons'. They might be many things, but they certainly aren't morons.
He wants to encourage more children? Make daycare a public system just like school. Most people find the cost of daycare wiping out or even costing more than a workdays paycheck
I've listened to some of his talks about wanting people to have more kids. I haven't yet heard him make a full argument for why. I'm not sure if it's the traditional Republican "women will get too willful unless we keep them as child-rearers" thing, or if he has an economic argument based on stats. As soon as I saw him getting cozy with the Trump family, I started assuming his honesty should be kept in question for everything he claims to believe in.

How about subsidizing housing, or abolishing student debt, or raising the minimum wage, or increasing taxes on the wealthy and lowering them for everyone else? All things that will help young people have children, but their parents and grandparents are viscerally opposed to.
Agreed, and already done in whole or in part, in most developed nations. I'd like to see more money put into kids sports/activities. Dental can be a huge cost for large families, free basic care is available in a small but growing number of countries. Maybe Musk can invent a robotic dentist that autopilots to your door.
