Why cut him slack? He claims to have had lots of opportunities over the years and he evaluated UCLA as the best place to be successful.

He said they will be on the podium in 3 years. He knew how many scholarships they had, what their training environment was like and all the other warts of UCLA, but said it was the perfect place. No excuses!

Brosnan also said that he thought he could put together a women's team that would be top 10 in the country in XC in fall 2023. And he did manage to get 3 excellent women transfers.

But I think he still won't be able to be top 10 this fall, unless he gets one more great transfer in the next few weeks.

Besides the New Mexico women, are there any other top distance women in the portal right now?
