Carpenter and Kyle did a great job at building a strong program and the boys know what it takes to be successful. More than anything, they built a resilient, dedicated, and close team culture that will prevail, regardless of how the coaching is. Adversity is nothing new to these guys and I'm not worried for the program.
As far as what happened to Kyle, it is very unfortunate. However, that is no reason to speculate or dish out harsh criticism to the new coach before she has a chance to prove herself (also the baseless Emma/Kirk slander). Honestly, when you think about it, this is actually a good thing for Kyle because he would have never been properly valued by the schools since they do not really care about athletics in general (and no amount of program success would change that - source: me, I ran there. It happened to Carpenter and would have happened to Greg too if EVERY sports team didn't intervene).
Regardless of the reasons why things played out this way, the schools will not change their mind. Kyle, like carpenter, will go on to bigger and better things, and the boys will comeback like the dogs they always have been.
