there isn't enough time to be messing around with the idiotic idea of running 1500s. like she was supposed to do at Music City and at USAs.
Relax. Athing Mu isn't the first defending world champion who decided to do a different event at USA's because they had a bye to Worlds and didn't need to compete at USA's in their main event.
I said Mu wouldn't run the 1500 seriously in 2023. And you took issue with that. You are obviously not aware of what year Kersee said Mu was going to be serious about the 1500. Please do your research so you can be better informed before you write such dumb posts.
You're literally just writing things because you feel like arguing. You don't even have your facts straight.
If she is running it at USAs she is running it seriously and that was the plan. That is exactly what he said.
No! That is NOT what Kersee said. He NEVER said that Mu was going to run the 1500 seriously in 2023. You are confused about what year Kersee was talking about.
And he certainly never said that Mu was going to run the 1500 seriously at USA's.
USATF requires Mu to run any event she wants at USA's, in order to use her bye in the 800 to the World Championships. That's how it works when you have a bye.
Sorry that you are getting so worked up over something that you are actually wrong about. Do better research, and then you won't have to get so worked up.

Surely you are aware of that?
Another non-reader that wants to change the very clear words I said onto something else.
Last time.
Athing Mu is not in a good headspace, distractions and nonsense are not going to help her. What other people do or have done is completely irrelevant because I posted about Athing Mu; maybe you have heard of her. She is going to get demolished at Worlds if she doesn't turn it around. Maybe she'll still run the NYC Grand Prix, but she should not because she's not ready. I'm pretty sure I said this already. Disagree if you want, but for the love of God, at least comprehend the very simple words. Here, let me make it simple for the sub 60 IQs
1) Athing - not ready
2) 1500 = waste if time and lost training opportunities
3) Also 1500 = never said anything about her running it at Worlds, just said it's stupid running it at all 4) Athing is going to get smoked

I didn't change anything. I quoted EXACTLY what you wrote, which was:
"there isn't enough time to be messing around with the idiotic idea of running 1500s. like she was supposed to do at Music City and at USAs."

And now you're upset that I quoted you?
What kind of nut are you?
What kind of nut cannot comprehend words? I bet you have not even read my original post and are only responding to the subsequent idiocy from other non-readers like yourself. My original post was spot on and very clear. Funny how she's not listed to run anymore. I wonder why.
No! That is NOT what Kersee said. He NEVER said that Mu was going to run the 1500 seriously in 2023.
Hey dip$hit - NEWSFLASH
Running the 1500 at USAs is running it seriously.
You just made that up. You obviously are not aware of the history of the sport of track and field. So let me educate you.
When a US athlete wins a world championship, they get a bye into the next world championship. But USATF requires them to do an event, any event, at USA's. Kersee decided that since Mu needs to run any event, he figured he would stick her in the 1500. She doesn't have to run fast, or make it to the final. She can jog it if she wants.
One year a defending world champion went to the triple jump and ran right through the sand on his first attempt and he didn't jump again. That was good enough for USATF. So NO, a world champion competing in an event at USA's does NOT make it a serious effort.
There. Now you have been educated. You're welcome.
Their coach Bob Kersee said setbacks that will keep them out of next week’s Los Angeles Grand Prix will not prevent them from challenging two of track’s oldest world records.
Contrary to, both SML and Mu have no chance to break the respective WRs.
"Kersee also raised the possibility of Mu attempting next summer to become the first woman to sweep the Olympic 1,500 and 800 gold medals since Great Britain’s Kelly Holmes in 2004."

You are a f***ing clown. The fact that you think you are dropping some sort of knowledge bomb only makes you look like even more of an idiot and proves you still don't understand what it is I ACTUALLY said. You are the poster child for being too stupid to understand how stupid you are.
"Kersee also raised the possibility of Mu attempting next summer to become the first woman to sweep the Olympic 1,500 and 800 gold medals since Great Britain’s Kelly Holmes in 2004."
Wait a sec? Kersee said NEXT SUMMER for the 1500? You mean 2024, not 2023? But how could the brilliant Ray Cyst get his years mixed up and think Mu was going to run the 1500 seriously THIS YEAR?
Thanks SlowTuohy for the Bobby Kersee quote. It goes to show that we should NOT listen to Ray Cyst who can't get his facts straight. He actually thought Mu was going to run the 1500 seriously this year.
Ray Cyst, you can finally stop arguing, since we have the exact quote from Bobby Kersee.
So, is she running or not? Her name is still on this link, but it apparently disappeared (or was never on) another.
It's unclear which list is correct. Websites are not always updated right away.
The starting lists will of course be right by race time. Then we'll just have to wait and see if Mu actually shows up on the start line, or if Bobby Kersee forgot to tell her that she is in the race, like Mu claimed a few weeks ago.
Honestly don't care as I'm sick of hearing about her. Seems she cares much more about other things than running and racing, and that's fine. Be gone then. I would love to see her get her ass kicked a few more times though before she disappears from the scene.
At the moment, Mu's name is on the meet's homepage list, but not on usatf.org live results page....the question is, which is accurate? I would say the usatf.org one is generally more accurate...
Best thing for her would be to get her @$$ handed to her by Hodgkinson. Needs to light a fire again after Olympic gold and WC gold at such a young age.
Two bouts of Covid that may not be very recent but has lasting effects. I think at best Mu will probably run 1:59. Covid really effects endurance and I think she'll struggle.
