I was confused by Hussey being in the B heat, but since the heats went the same speed pretty much, I guess that's mooted. Would be cool to see him race in a high-caliber race. Ostrava perhaps?
Bol's manager has demanded that the B race be rerun with Bol in it. He's confident that it will clear Bol and prove he is faster than Hussey.
Still, I think if Myers was put in a Monaco 1500m in a couple of months' time, it's not unbelievable he might run close to 3:31. And if you look at Myer's training on Strava, it appears he is only running 60 MPW or so.
Not denigrating Jakob of course, just pointing out that Myers is potentially in the same incredible talent bracket.

Myers has huge potential. Keen to see what he can knock out in an 800m. I believe he is entered in a European 8 in a week or two
Is there a video anywhere? The stream posted earlier has been blocked.
You didn’t miss anything. The stream was mediocre. The race: two pacemakers went out too fast, nr. 2 ‘waited’ and picked up the field, last 300m were fast with 2 runners separating. Myers was third.

There have always been "incredible talents". But what was missing was something else incredible.

Here is a better video than the livestream, that hasn't been blocked :)

Ostrava entries are out. No Hussey. Yes Gourley, Giles and Pattison. I guess Hussey's team thinks he can go under at British Trials. Good opportunity for Coevett gloating with Manangoi in the 1500 vs. George Mills. It's a huge field (21 + 2 pacers)
Pattison will be looking for a fast one, but he's been racing a lot in the last couple of weeks, as has Hussey. Pattison is running in the European Team Championships at the weekend too.
Mills is in a different class to Manangoi now. Hopefully he will go under 3:33.
Looks like Burgin must be injured then, which is very sad news. It's a great opportunity for Hussey though if he can get under the standard.
The 800m looks interesting too with Peter Bol, Daniel Rowden, and Elliot Giles. And the 800m b race isn't too shabby either with Charlie Grice and Ethan Hussey.
Are you trying to suggest that Peter Bol's exoneration from a doping charge was incorrect?
Coevett - happy for you to call athletes out, but you should do so using your real name.
Myers is a great prospect and I am looking forward to seeing him later in the season when he's been in Europe a while. The middle distances in both men's and women's are looking great at present. The 1500's and 5k's have been incredible this season.

I was under the impression that his suspension was lifted as the B Sample 'only' came back 'atypical', and that he was still under investigation by the Australian sporting authorities.
Happy to be corrected if I'm not up to date with things.

You mean so the trolls here who have posted extremely violent and graphic death threats against me over the years can follow through with them?
Sorry man, I have great sympathy for your athlete if he is indeed clean and innocent, but with the doping problem in this sport, it seems a bit ridiculous that we can't jest a little when it comes to an athlete who tested positive in an A sample and whose suspension was lifted because the B sample was 'atypical'. Even the kid we are discussing in this thread has been subjected to doping allegations on no other basis that he's fast.
