Also worth noting that he ran his first 800 of his career 11 days ago. Just bonkers to bust a 1:51 at altitude on his 2nd attempt at the distance.

A biological girl was bumped from going to the state meet because this runner.

In what world does a 2:11 with a 4:48 indicate a 57? More like 60 lol
Those were nearly my exact HS PRs.
4:46 1600m, 2:11 800m, 57 400m
It's been done before in Colorado, at least once. Though Underwood's attempt to sweep all four eclipses the significance of the previous instance, Ashley Atkin of Fleming won the 1A girls 100, 200, 400, and 800 in 2011.

No state records for Atkin or US #1s, but she did complete a remarkable sweep. I don't know for certain, but I believe Atkin was a typical small-school three-or-four-sport athlete who didn't have the luxury of focusing exclusively on track.
Also from Colorado, also from 2011, Samantha Berggren of Middle Park attempted a 200-400-800-1600 sweep in 3A. In a spectacular effort, she won the 400, 800, and 1600 and ended up fourth in the 200. Times were 25.58, 55.69, 2:11.63, and 5:13.53. If you can recall what things were like 12 years ago, those were excellent times.
Sorry, one more fix. Berggren's times given above were seed times, but the actual finals times in her races were in the same ballpark. Notably, the 1600 final was about 5:08.
Boris ran the 4x200 not the 4x800.

Not sure if we are talking about just sprint preformances but I feel that Sally Glynn needs to be mentioned here. She won every 800, 1600, 3200, and individual XC state title besides her freshman indoor season when she had the flu. Also helped score a number of 4x800 titles over the years. A runner-up at footlocker xc, runner up at usatf junior nationals in the 1500m, made a world's junior xc team, won an outdoor national scholastic mile, the indoor national scholastic 2 mile twice, two millrose miles, and is the only hs girl to ever win three penn relays 1500m/miles. All in all I think she had over 30 state championships and was clearly national class at the same time. Does anyone know of a hs athlete that took home more titles?
Interesting but it’s the range I’m interested in. There have been a lot of 800-3200 runners
