I am curious why this observation has been criticized? Is it not basically true?
If you have multiple adults living in a smallish apartment with three cars and dedicated parking spot, your other two cars are parked somewhere on the street. That doesn't sound "rich" to me.
If you are middle class, you have a lot of stuff like tools and bikes and mowers and motor cycles and kayaks in your garage so you cars are in your personal driveway. Your garage is, as the other poster said, a "junk drawer" for you hobbies, kids, tools, etc.
If you are rich you have one of those huge garages with three spots and tons of space. You can pull your cars in and still have room for a treadmill and Peloton in the third bay.
Are you guys downvoting this on as a statement about class (and capitalism) or is it actually not the truth where you live? I just don't understand. Is it that you don't like it or is it that it isn't true?
