A predator who broke a woman’s leg in four places while chasing after her and masturbating has been let off with probation by an ultra-liberal district attorney in Austin, Texas.
Antonio Rios — who also is facing numerous indecent exposure charges, including exposing himself to a child — is free to roam the streets despite copping to aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury.
His sentence of 10 years of probation is too soft, according to Lynn Isaak, the Austin engineer he attacked while she was jogging in her neighborhood.
During the 2021 ambush, Isaak told The Post, she tried to outrun Rios for seven miles and fight him off, but claimed he fed off her fear, fondling himself as she tried to escape.
The felon was eventually scared off by a neighbor, but the ordeal left her without the ability to walk for four months as her leg was shattered, and she will eventually need to replace her entire knee.
She overreacted. If I'm out and some woman starts to pleasure themselves in front of me I just shrug and move on. Seems had she done the same shed have 2 unbroken legs.
I think these public masturbates are really weird but I've walked into men's room to old men doing it at a urinal and thought whatever weirdo. I didn't take it as an assault.

Not only that but us masturbating men are especially vulnerable to an easy kick or punch to groin with it full of blood and a bigger target. We are also defenseless with our hands busy down there. Makes me think that the woman in the originally story simply tripped over the first few minutes she was running and broke her leg that way and that the man didn't actually touch her.
I am surprised at how lax some state laws are when it comes to things like this. Sadly, I have an acquaintance who flashed some women. There were several police reports before they caught him, but only charges for the last incident stuck. It turns out that indecent exposure is only a misdeamenor in his state the first two times it occurs. Three strikes and you are out or if you flash kids. There was a very expensive lawyer involved. Most of what he did was to try and keep him off any registry.

If you read the second article that was linked to on page one of this discussion, it was disclosed that the perpetrator has been doing this to several women in that area, over a year or more, and according to one of the charges that he still faces, a child was unfortunately involved. Only through the concerted, determination of the women involved was he caught. They grouped together and was able to track him down, but it took a while and a lot of effort.
Frankly, that is the story. The determination of these women to put in this kind of effort and work together for the good of themselves and the community is exemplary, and paid off.
The perpetrator still faces additional charges, btw.
EDIT: Here is an excerpt from the article describing the group of women who had been accosted banding together and finding the perpetrator:
"Isaak (the woman who was attached) said she looked for other possible victims on the NextDoor app. “Over the course of about three or four months, [the survivors] were able to link him to additional attacks, identify his vehicle, take a picture of the vehicle, pull images off of Ring doorbell, and then eventually, because women were aware of that, begin to memorize his license plate and take pictures of the perpetrator,” McKay said. “They then developed a flyer that had an image of the perpetrator, as well as an image of his car. And then they were able to create a map that identified all the different locations for incidents that had occurred.”"
Also, the article says her attack lasted 7 minutes, not 7 miles. The NY Post article must have been incorrect in its reporting (what a surprise!).
EDIT: This is the article that explains the background:
A man who admitted to attacking a woman and exposing himself to a child won’t do any jail time, but is now on probation for the next 10 years. The survivor Lynn Isaak made it her mission to f…
I can understand a woman getting a little upset if she saw a discarded Fleshlight on the path, but running for 7 miles to get away from it seems like an overreaction.
I can’t quite conceptualize this with the description given. He broke her knee so badly that she’ll need knee replacement, at some point over the course of a 7 mile chase, while masturbating?
She should go to Lifetime to sell the movie rights to her story.
There is far too much immaturity on the message board about a crime. I carry a few different things with me for protection against an attack from people, dogs, etc. If he had gotten too close to me I would have used bear spray first and maybe more if necessary. I've had to use the bear spray two times in 2023 against dangerous dogs.
