Because to be honest, I think I sort of agree. I am curious when I see elite talent doing quirky road races at key times in their careers.
I get it when a star like Centro wants to cash in. He should be getting paid to run and appear in races, but for Kessler, I'd like to think the ONLY thing he cares about right now is getting closer to 3:30 and prepping for championship style racing.
Those two things don't seem to be his priority and it would be cool to either know why or be told that we are wrong. I am not very smart, so I am sure his coach could explain why the BAA mile is the right race at this point in time... They might just be waiting to give him a few years to develop. They are the experts, not me. But unless they tell us that, we are all just speculating.
