She announced a few weeks ago that she would be sponsored by Lululemon for clothes and shoes. Don't think she is with Hoka any more? I have seen a few clips of this latest race, but cannot see the shoes very well.
Almost 260 miles? Well this is indeed tremendous. Are the super shoes improving performances here too?
Probably not, at least where Camille is concerned. She may be switching to Lululemon shoes at some point, if they have them (?), but she’s a pretty devoted user of Hoka Rincon and other non-super shoe models from them for racing. From the photos I’ve seen of this race, I think she is wearing Rincons here, as well.
Is it always the same direction? Or can she switch?
They typically switch directions every few hours.
With a little under an hour remaining, she is currently at the 13th best performance, and 5th best performer, of all-time in this event. she’s also now the best-ever American performer (I think), male or female.
So I guess since you can crush her at any event, that puts you in the top four all-time in this event. :-)

This is an event which requires preparation. And maybe being a little nuts in a good way.
