After 6 weeks of solid training with 3 running session per week in addition of my sport I only improved modestly to 19:43.
I did per week one easy 9km jog, one 1h30 run with 30 minutes strong in the middle and the third run was 10*200m on hill one week and a 10km run easy the other week.
Maybe I am not built for distance running.
Do you need to lose weight? My 5k times improved from a 23min 5k to 17:45 when I lost 30lbs.
I finally made it. It took me a lot of time and I used some of free time of the summer away of my club to train more longer and reach the milestone. I recorded 18:54.
