I didn't say both were the goat just that they fit the bare minimum definition to be eligible. Titles in a pro league in multiple countries and winning something for your country and club. I don't count Olympics in that, has to be an independent world event like the World Cup.
The term Goat only applies to 3 people Ali, Jordan and Brady. All other uses of the term GOAT are unwarranted.

Good shout. Karelin, Bekele, Bolt, Gretzky, Nadal, Messi is GOATS for everyone that owns a passport. I have to little oversight when it comes to female athletes - I guess an american dominance can be justified a bit better there. (Williams, Shiffrin for sure, Biles, ..)

So we're only talking about heavyweights now? Slick goalpost move, the usual implication is GOAT pound for pound boxer, which Mayweather has a very strong claim to.
