Penalize someone one place but enforce it regularly and that will stop runners from drifting.

Yeah and if you can't stop a faster athlete from passing you by deliberately barging into their path then simply grab their ankle or tug on their vest as they're passing, why make it so easy am I right?

you can see him looking up at the massive video board which was in front of him. He saw on the video board that he was about to get passed, so he jumped in front of the guy.
