Please give one single REAL reason why someone else wearing a hat affects you. You all get so mad about snowflake young people and their pronouns and general fragility when it comes to words.
Then you come on let's run and get all worked up because some other person chose to wear a hat. I don't care what your politics are, just be consistent and stop being a fragile little baby about what other people do.
Hey Mr Woke. Grew up in a barn? The fact that anyone doesn't understand why its rude and classless to wear a hat indoors tells us alot on how they were raised.
I'm certainly not woke and you need to work on your reading comprehension. Now give a reason. WHY is wearing a hat rude and classless. No, the answer can't just be "Because it is" or "Because that's what they did in the old days". It needs to be a real answer. For example (and in response to Taco John) an example of ACTUAL inconsiderate manners in the western world would be not showering/wearing deodorant then traveling on a bus.
All I'm asking for is that you provide the actual reasoning for why it is rude. Someone provided reasons why a tophat would be rude at a play/concert and that certainly makes sense. Now explain why a baseball hat at a restaurant/ lecture hall impacts you in an inconsiderate way.
It’s because he can’t, me wearing a cap does not have any impact on him, therefore it can’t be rude. I think you would be hard pressed to find anyone under 60 that cares.
As a follow-up, I think not wearing a shirt in a restaurant is a topic where various cultures could logically disagree. However, in the western world, we have a level of comfort/lack of comfort with nudity that would mean no shirt is upsetting/arousing to some and therefore I think it would be inappropriate to wear no shirt. There could also be a discussion about body hair, hygiene/cleanliness, and even a conversation about what separates men from animals.
Alternatively, in a culture where the weather is hot, humid, and the men/women are used to nudity, perhaps there would be nothing wrong with going to a fancy restaurant with no shirt on. I personally wouldn't want to live there, but I can see that there is nothing inherently rude and inconsiderate about the situation, only my own prudishness and cultural reasons.
Watch the Sopranos clip, it’s about reading the room as a sensible adult and responding appropriately. That takes a bit more smarts and nuance than smelling b.o. or farts on a bus. You don’t have to be woke or unwoke to avoid being an Ugly American.

I think you're the one lacking smarts if you can watch that clip and not realize that the writers are MAKING FUN of people who react the way Tony and his friend did to the hat in a restaurant.

Right, the way the waiter thanks them is clear subtext. 🙄

Have you not watched the show? They are 100% critical of appeals to tradition and Tony is depicted as a sociopath with huge insecurities. This is obviously a time where the writers are making fun of the Italian American mobster version of "propriety" where things like brutally killing a woman is A-ok if you do it "the right way".
People who wear hats indoors are typically rednecks / chavs / neds etc. tend to watch the music channel and have an out of control dog like a rottweiler or bully xl

Yup, a Venn diagram of guys with backwards hats, guys wearing hats indoors everywhere, guys with visible trashy tats, and guys with compensating dogs and trucks would have huge overlap.
Apparently it's a thing with film directors, wearing baseball hats that is, and I am sure they do it indoors, as well. Google it if you don't believe me. No idea why.

And the reverse is the ghostly white skinney computer nerd incels with miniscule testicles who is afraid of his own shadow. Guess what his political leanings are...
Title. In my seminar this semester, there are always like 3-4+ people (out of 15) who always wear a hat indoors. So trashy
It just looks juvenile. I'm 64, when I was 60 I dated a 27 year old for a couple months. She said one of the reasons she dated me (aside from the obvious that I would just be better at sex) was that guys her age were very juvenile. One example she used was their obsession of wearing hats all the time, especially indoors and those stupid stocking caps when it wasn't cold.
Over 4 years ago, "for a couple months!" Bro, she went for you because of her daddy issues. She would date Al Pacino or Bob Deniro if he winked at her.
