Then what happened in 1972 and 1976? No Kenyans on the podium in the 5,000, 10,000 or marathon. Totally irrelevant.
Umm ... it would've been a hard for Kenyans to get on the podium in 1976 when Kenya boycotted the Olympics in Montreal in solidarity with other African countries against support for the apartheid regime in South Africa. Henry Rono would've easily cleaned up if he'd gone.
With a PB of 13:30 at the time? No way, Lasse Viren would have crushed him.
What’s your excuse for 1972? Olympic Champion Frank Shorter from the USA ran his marathon nearly 3 minutes faster than the best African (Wolde).
Lol. Anyone that thinks even with all their doping that they're anything special is on bath salts. Tell me how many golds either of those two got in the last ten years in the 5000 in WCs or Olys? Right, 2 out of 10. With 0 in the Olympics. Lol Lol lol lol
How's the 1500 the last few years? Kenya/Ethiopia getting demolished. Cope
Lashing out because our feelings got hurt, aren't we? Still won't change the fact that Kenyans and Ethiopians only compete against each other with the rest of the world being irrelevant.
The rivalry started nearly 55 years ago when Naftali Temu 🇰🇪 and Mamo Wolde 🇪🇹 made the men's 10,000m at the Olympics in 1968 a two-horse race. No one else factored or mattered.
Quite possibly, what you state, has been cause for the product and advertising world to cast an irrelevance shadow on track and field (specifically distance running). People make purchase decisions for a variety of reasons. One of which is association. People’s of the African continent do not have much discretionary income. The systemic doping of Kenya has too caused company’s to not align with distance running and spend their advertising dollars elsewhere.

Did you really ask why a country not participating in the 1976 Olympics did not perform well?
Dude, I don't know what tell you. Kenyans and Ethiopians still won't waste attention on your heroes. Ingebrigtsen, Wightman and Fisher may be superstars here, but don't register in Kenya or Ethiopia. Kenyan and Ethiopian athletes only have respect for each other.
I don’t believe for a moment that Kenyan and Ethiopian athletes are disrespectful to other athletes. Having read many of your racist posts, I believe that it is you who has a lack of respect for those not from East Africa.

Lol. And do you think anyone will pay attention to your heroes? It doesn't matter to most of the world if your no talent sideshows that are eating the dust of the actual best runners dont register in those 4th world backwards cesspools. The whole world knows the winner not the loser. On top, all these actual winners (Europeans, N. Americans, Oceania) have only respect for each other. Kenyans/Ethiopians are looked down upon. Especially for their uncontrolled doping. None of their "achievements" even matter to anyone in the civilized world.

Don’t deflect. If athletes from Kenya and Ethiopia rendered the rest of the world irrelevant in the 10,000 meters in 1968, then why did they fail so miserably just 4 years later?

You must’ve responded to the wrong person with that question. I was pointing out you asking why a boycotting country didn’t perform well in 1976, an embarrassing question. 1968 and 1972 and 1832 aren’t relevant to what I pointed out.

The 1976 boycott was a harmless omission that doesn’t change my point about the Kenyan failure in 1972. If they were so relevant in 1968, why such failure in 1972?
Asking why a country not competing didn’t perform well seems more like a lack of historical knowledge than a harmless omission to me, but carry on with your pointless argument with the fake Kenyan about a comment from an Ethiopian and Kenyans doping 50 years ago, I guess.

Who doesn't know that mo Farah was a serial doper?
And for your information, cheptegei and kiplimo come from the same tribe as Kipchoge's. They're on the boarder between Kenya and Uganda. A small lesson on Kenyan runners names:
Kipchoge
Kiplimo
Kiptum
Kiprotich
Chesebe
Cheptoo
Chelimo
In real sense, cheptegei and kiplimo are classical examples of Kenyans who just crossed over to Uganda due to the intensity of one making it to the Kenyan team...
