I like it but 80 minutes is not a long run. Or "church of the long run" whatever TF that means. Long runs are minimum 90 minutes and I'll die on that hill. But before you downvote me, I DID like it, it's a cool location, and inspired me to run, it's just not a "long run."
Sounds like an artistic take on running, however it sounds like something I’d listen to try and fall asleep. Before I rip on Tracksmith, I will say that some of what they’re doing is pretty good, especially with their funding of near elite athletes.
Otherwise they are aggressively pretentious and they represent most of what I hate in running culture. It’s sad watching people spend big money for basic clothing. Its aggravating watching these pretentious people preach to us about running with this holier than thou “I know better than you” attitude. I hope this type of elitist crap finds its way out of the sport. Apologies if I came off as some kind of cry baby, but I really dislike these guys.
So you run exclusively in cotton tighties and heavy basketball practice shorts from high school?

I like this although it would be so much better with the background music way quieter and foreground sound loud enough to hear her footfalls and breathing.
I've seen her running around Philly a few times! She's a beast. At first I thought she was going sleeveless until I realized she was wearing yellow haha. This video is super chill though, don't see any problem with it!

Me too. Like the editing. I'm surprised they didn't try to make it through without the pee break. Pretty sure when they zoomed in on her chest they were trying to not show traffic in the background. Also the little fake stretch she does at the end was a nice touch.

No, here is the wardrobe
4x shorts from eastbay/running warehouse bought on sale 25-35$ per pair
Too many shirts: almost all are from races I’ve run. Races cost between $25-40.
jackets. One for wind and night running from brooks for night visibility, got half price so 65$
One from nike I saw at nike outlet. It was 90 dollars but it’s pretty sweet
tights: 4 pairs from asics outlet. Total cost was 140
shoes: from asics outlet gt 2000 10s as a daily runner. Asics gel noosa tri 13 as a tempo shoe. Bought in a buy 2 get them for half off for a total of 120 or 140 cant remember exactly
1x nike next percent for 250, the only thing purchased at full price. Because they are worth it, they have the carbon plate and I feel faster in them even if its just a placebo
My point is simply that tracksmith is insanely over priced especially when you’re constantly replacing this stuff. Sure their quality is good, but so is the quality of all of the things I’ve purchased at near half price. Idk about you guys, I just don’t have anything to prove, I’d rather have the cash in my bank account.

all this "ts is pretentious" talk comes off as such projection. great you're the regular guy saving the common man from all the people who spend their own money how they choose. if someone in a sashed singlet treated you like crap, then they are an a-hole.
do you feel the same way for people who wear nike aeroswift? guess what, their lined split shorts are $24 more than ts van cortlandts.
if what you hate is people spending their own money on the higher end of the product mix (which exists for literally every segment) then you will hate every "culture".
Yeah so in the comment above is a rough itemization of my running gear. My point is people are over paying for it. The only reason I get the nike next percents is because they work. The shoes put out by tracksmith are 190 and they look like something a person would wear to a yacht party, not running. Its just overpriced. Sure its quality, but I know I can get quality past season gear and rip hard miles in stuff that doesnt look as cool. Like I’ve said I’d rather have the cash in the bank.

What you mean is you can't afford their gear, are jealous, and need to blow out other people's candles to make yours shine brighter.
Not sure why I’m replying, but to be like,” lol ur poor” is a trash response. All I know is that I make decent money but nothing crazy and I was just raised to stretch my cash. As a consumer I just think its foolish to watch people spend huge money to look cool, when there’s high quality gear that can be purchased at half the price of TS is all I’m saying.

Their price points meet their market. It’s obvious that it’s appropriately priced and you simply aren’t in their desired demographic.

We can certainly be glad they chose her, someone running legit times with a real career and a blue collar attitude, over all the thirsty Boulder barista type loons on gear deals pimping TS in their SM bios.
Me...I'd rather run than bargain shop. Often, I'll buy a quality name brand item even though I know that if I did some research and took the time, I could get comparable quality for a lower price. Again, my time has value and I'd rather run than bargain shop.
The hate Tracksmith gets here is ridiculous. Their gear is pretty much in line pricewise with Nike’s premium lines. They’re entire brand is “serious but amateur running” which is 100% the demographic of this website.
I totally understand if you are a bargain hunter and never want to pay full price for gear. But people who consider a $60 shirt “elitist” have never actually met someone that is actually an elitist.
Personally, their shorts fit me much better than my old Nike and Brooks shorts so I have several pair. Their tops are good quality and I have a couple of singlets. But if I’m going to buy some “athleisure” fleece or pants or whatever, I’d rather my money go to a small company that actually cares about my hobby than some multinational corporation.

Not to mention TS isn't part of a massive doping and bribary machine like Nike.
80+ minutes of one mute person just running down a road. No dialog, no narration, no data graphics, not even a noteworthy athlete. People actually spent over an hour of their lives sitting through watching this?

Did you really just type out your running wardrobe for us? Gear obsession goes way to far for us non elites.
