I'm not even sure where to begin, since there's a lot, but here's a list of the things I don't like in no particular order:
1. Dorm culture. You're assigned to a dorm your freshman year and have to stay at least 3 years. It has all the negatives of a frat with none of the positives - you can't pick the people you're with.
2. Football culture. Every home football game turns into the event for the day. I tried getting excited for this but I realized I couldn't.
3. Climate / town surroundings. The weather is freezing (like 10 degrees) in winter and the town / city it's in is desolate. It's violent so I have to stay in a small area, and it's also small enough that there are only a few places students go.
4. Academics. I'm having to work a lot in one class, and am enjoying that a lot, but the rest is as difficult or easier than high school.
I feel like everyone else has "drunk the Kool Aid", so to speak, and thinks it's the best place on earth.
Everything in life is not meant to be enjoyable reason why a vacation is a short period of time and not permanent. Best thing you can do is stay put and get through it. If you transfer it just tells you that when things suck, you can change and that is a tough cycle to get out of. As for dorms get your own room that is what I did I realized I don't play well with others and got a single.
