What 9:30 guy are you talking about? HS kids progress at different rates and anyone who finishes that high at NXN would have run sub 9 had NXN been run as a 3200.
in looking at the list, it made me realize how difficult it is for a top program to attract an NXN top 25. 31 teams make it to NCAA XC.
First, not all top 25 are seniors. There were 22 seniors this year (which is high, I believe). Second, a few schools get a couple (like NAU and Syracuse for example).
Then one or more may not have the SAT score to get into one of these Colleges. Some pick out of the top programs (Gilstrap to Stony Brooke for example).
The resultant is that you even get schools like Oklahoma State, BYU, Tulsa… who don’t get a top 25.

Heard from multiple people that Danny Simmons does not want to go to BYU….will be interesting to see where he ends up if he doesn’t want stay in the homeland

Just looking at results and not knowing more about them, Cutting seems like an 800 stud who ran XC in HS. Hartshorn also seems likely to have more success in mid distance track than XC.
