At the finish, the announcer claimed Kiptoo got 2nd, and even several minutes later, he was saying that, but you could see Beadlescomb fly past him in the final meters. I was waiting for the announcer to correct himself but he never did. Watching the replay, it was a huge amount of real-estate that Beadlescomb had to make up in short order to overtake Kiptoo. Quite impressive (although Kiptoo looked cooked in the final 75 meters or so).
Disqualified for not saying “gobble gobble MFer” as he crossed the finish line.
