Adderall is only banned in competition. She can still be taking it, just not for the race. Seems pretty clear she has been injured. That tends to get people out of shape. Hopefully in the future she can keep you personally informed of her problems to your satisfaction.
It looks and sounds like lying....If it's not exactly "lying" then it's a complete lack of transparency. I am not a fan of athletes that either lie or lack transparency. Especially when they duck major/global competitions. To me, it seems very suspect. So I wish her the best, but I will root for other runners instead and I do not feel sorry for her.
I remember Mo Farah getting stomped in finishing 7th at the 2017 Edinburgh cross and going on to win 10,000 gold 6 months later. I'd judge Seidel by her form in April next year, not in her first race back after more than 6 months injured plus a period when she was managing that injury while continuing to train. All told, she probably hasn't been physically right since New York 2021
Molly Seidel peaked at exactly the right time and had a great Olympics. She's had a tough road and been very open about her challenges ever since. Whether she'll return to form and have a second peak, remains to be seen. But I don't get the hate.
Someone who is suffering through the issues and challenges that Molly is, doesn't owe us any transparency. We have no right to invalidate anything she says, feels or does. Getting her and ALL those going through a similar situation is ultimately good for Women Long Distance Running. Let's hope they are all back and firing on all cylinders soon.

You've got one person here saying she shares too much on social media, and then you're here saying she's not transparent enough....
Reality lies somewhere in the middle. But as it pertains to you... You would rather be lazy and not find her stories that she's shared very publicly while simultaneously dragging her for not being transparent. You just haven't sought the information that's out there, and that's on you. Or maybe you're one of the dudes mad you can't stalk her strava out and creepily go see her on a training run...
Would you rather be a 2:03 marathoner with no global medal or a 2:25 runner with an Olympic silver?
I'll take the medal any day. Probably because racing is about showing up and being the best on that one day that really matters. A day like, idk, the olympics. Kinda hard to find a day I'd rather peak for if I were in those shoes....

No, I am a woman. Regardless, relying on personal attacks is a sign that your argument is weak. It is not transparent that she talked about needing a TUE for something banned in competition and used this as a reason to not run at the highest level of competition this year even though she had a guaranteed spot. Then to now compete in a lower level event less than 6 months later, do very poorly, with no further mention of pursuing the TUE (which she said she could not even survive without for a few days). The story is not adding up, and it looks suspicious to me. Any reasonable person would be questioning this...it is one of the biggest news stories in USA running right now. She's supposed to be one of the USA's top marathoners...I would like to know what happened with the Adderall/TUE. I would like to know if or why she got injured since she has not raced in any serious competition for over half a year. Those are reasonable questions. And yes, she does share a lot, but the problem is her story keeps changing and it changes in a rather short amount of time. To me, that means something is amiss, and it makes me not believe what she reports. That means I am not a fan of hers, and I find her suspicious. You are entitled to your own opinion and entitled to cheer for her. But I am making logical conclusions based off of the timeline and what she has said and not said. This does not make me a bad person, just that I chose to cheer for other runners instead. I don't think I am alone in these sentiments.

Fortunuately, nobody gives a f$%k what you think is suspicious. It's none of your buisness, but if you care so much, ask her. She's quite accessible.
