Hey Rojo (Wejo too) have you noticed that almost without fail, your posts are downvoted massively? In the newfangled world we call that getting ratioed, and YOU get ratioed more than anybody else, on your own site.
You may not care. Maybe you're the Ted Cruz and Marjorie Green of the online running scene, where ANY attention is good attention, even if people hate you.
If being disliked brings clicks you're cool with that eh? What a great way to go through life.
1) My posts aren't always downvoted. Yesterday, I started a thread on the fact that 2 weeks have passed since Kipchoge's training partner was busted and we've heard nothing. 28 upvotes, 8 downvotes. Before that I started a thread on Conner Mantz's race results as a 12 year old, 49 upvotes, 9 down votes. Before that, I started a thread on how running is acutally good for you kneews, not bad. 39 upvotes 13 down votes. I pust a post in a HS thread on how a girl should train. 5 upvotes. 0 downvotes. All of that is in the last week.
2) I don't care if people downvote my posts. I post things that I think are interesting and try to make people think. I a) find these discussions personally interesting and b) want to make the website interesting. I want you think more than I want you to agree with me.
3) I'd rather be right than popular. Why is my very even-handed post upsetting you so much? Because you are looking for affirmation not information. Most people do that. That' why the GOPers watch fox news and the Dems watch MSNBC.
You don't want what I wrote to be true but it is true. How about this? I'll pay you $1000 if the GOP doesn't take the house and even $100 if they don't get at least 51 Senators which is crazy for me to do as Nate Silver only lists that as a 45%.
