Agreed, I ran it in Kayanos a couple times. The trail is pretty runnable for the most part (imho), gets a bit technical coming down Weverton cliffs but that's about it. OP says he doesn't train or race on trails and I think that was his real problem, if you're comfortable running on trails the shoe shouldn't really be that much of an issue.
