Given his age he probably was born with an abnormality and has a clotting issue. It’s sad this happened but happy he’s okay and hopefully will be able to look into the cause and how this can be avoided in the future.
No. Given his age he probably was born with an abnormality(ies) and probably has heart valve issue(s).
How many Fauci ouchies has he had? That needs to be know in all these cases that have been popping up lately that we NEVER saw in this volume previously.

My teenage daughter is a runner and she felt her heart skip a beat periodically so I took her to get checked, as I wanted to make sure she did not have one of these issues you read about. I wound up with the head of pediatric cardiology at a top academic hospital. He gave her an EKG and an echocardiogram. She was fine, but he said that in a perfect world, every kid, especially every athlete, would get an EKG and an echo to ensure there are no underlying issues. This would catch nearly all these abnormalities. While he recognizes that an echo would be cost prohibitive, at the very least an EKG should be given to everyone, as that would pick up many (though not all) abnormalities.
Point is that if you have a child into running or other sports, you should get them checked at some point if you can. I know there may be issues with insurance paying for some of this, but worth looking into it.
Why would you call someone a COVID denier for understanding the scientific studies that prove that some of the vaccines raise the probability of heart problems in boys 15-40 years old? That has nothing to do with COVID denial. Read the studies and pay attention.

So many people in this world love living in their ignorance, that's why they just parrot what their masters tell them. There's a large segment of our population that has given all their free-will over to the government and will fight with those of us who still have a truth-seeking mind over any subject. The vaxx is the biggest fraud ever perpetrated on mankind, defeating the man-made virus it was claimed to fight for that top spot. The whole charade was to get Hong Kong to stop protesting, get Orange Man out of DC, and global population control. Side effects for the youth either through heart problems and far lower fertility rates are not a problem for those in charge, those outcomes are a desired result.

*raises it less than contracting COVID-19 raises it

In unhealthy people perhaps? But then we need to qualify, what is a "healthy person"?
SARS-CoV-2 has been around for many years and everyone reacts differently. So making blanket statements about the infection and recovery is really not helpful.
A study of 301 teens in Thailand found mild and temporary heart rhythm changes after a second dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine among one in six teenagers, not one-third as social media posts claim. The study also...
Good to hear that he's recovering. Not that unusual for a HS/college athlete like a football or basketball player to have an incident due to an unknown heart issue or defect. Youngsters should google Hank Gathers.
The problem is not that those healthcare providers are doing what they are highly trained in, like a pre-participation physical exam, it is that EKG is not required for most pre-participation physicals. Neither is screening for sickle cell trait, which is also a huge oversight in PPE's.
COVID has also highlighted the shortage of labs/techs/lab times to administer EKGs. Most return to activity protocols for pediatric/adolescents/NCAA require EKG depending on symptom severity and athlete's return to sport is delayed because of the backlog in appointments.
If the athlete had a MI secondary to a thrombotic event nothing would have shown up on screening EKG unless there was a history of previous events large enough to affect conduction but small enough to be asymptomatic and allow him to run cross country, which would be very unlikely.
Screening EKG is used to discover hypertrophic cardiomyopathy or arrhythmias, neither of which it sounds like this guy had given the limited information available.
Which in of itself is a bit suspicious as we know it exists and we know lots of people would like to see this data.
Is it not?
No, it's not suspicious. Big databases often lag for several years because it takes time to collect and clean data. Not to mention you need a sufficient follow-up period to catch the events you're looking for. But please continue the conspiracy theorizing.
