Muir gave a great interview after the race. She's a is a phenomenal competitor and a class act all around.

Read this comment before it gets deleted: transgender would imply a woman presenting as a man. Such a person would run in the men's race. Nikki only competes in women's races and is not transgender i.e. presenting or living as a man. This is not a hateful comment just a factual reading of the situation.

Big fan of Laura's generally. I thought in Zurich she looked cooked due to her long season, so extra kudos to her for this gutsy performance!

How can you not love Muir? She is certainly clean, has a day job and runs as a side hobby, yet destroys fields. She does look like she is in pain and taking a poop when she is really pushing but it is great to see.

Really enjoyed interviewing her. I threw a bit of a curveball with a Faith Kipyegon question to which she had a great answer, and she also handled questions on her previous championship struggles well from the reporter who was talking beforehand.

Hope she moves up to the marathon eventually, I could see her just looking like she wants to die the last 10k and keep pushing lol
