Gas prices averaged $2.75 under Trump. He had very little to do with that. Gas prices aren't that much higher now, but jobs are very plentiful and salaries are up a lot. Better to have a job that pays well, even if you have to be selective with some of your spending, and to have a sane president who actually believes in democracy.
Re "believes in Democracy": The problem is, if we continue keeping all our Trump criticism focused on the election stuff, we allow him to keep pushing the narrative that he did better with the economy than other presidents. I can't count how many times I've heard regular people say "his personality isn't ideal, but his policies seemed to work". If instead of just focusing on his character flaws Democrats would point out that Trump lied literally every time he talked about his economic numbers, the guy wouldn't have even been the Republican nominee in 2020. I appreciate that you pointed out that he had very little to do with gas prices. We need more of that.
When you guys say "under Trump it was xyz", you're implying that the president controlled the rate of inflation. The current inflation was a completely predictable fallout from the pandemic. Trump just tells people "if I were president, nothing bad would have happened". That's obviously false. Same way it would have been false if Biden said "if I'd been president in 2020 the pandemic wouldn't have happened".
Trump didn't achieve ANYTHING unusual with the economy. He continued some of the trends that were existing when he took office, until Covid hit. The guy was a disaster policy-wise, and doesn't deserve the cringey softball-treatment that he gets from some folks on this forum.
They may not be able to control everything but they can definitely mess it up

Inflation is at a 40 year high. Pretty much everyone is making less than they made in 2019.
Gas was $2.75 under trump with 2% inflation and you're celebrating that gas is only $3.38 all while every dollar you have is worth 20% less than it was 3 years ago.

Trump was pro-energy. He encouraged drilling and didn't get in the way of the gas producers.
Biden is very anti-energy. He openly attacks the oil companies and has declared that there days are numbered.
If you can't understand why these approaches would have different effects on oil production and gas prices you really shouldn't be voting.
The economy still hasn't returned to it's pre-pandemic peak.
Inflation is through the roof and Biden's answer is printing more money and wasting it.
He also raised taxes anyone making enough money to actually be paying taxes in the first place.
Biden has been an absolute disaster economically. All the growth that we've seen under Biden is because the economy was effectively turned off for COVID. Ending the lockdowns and turning the economy back on has nothing to do with Biden.

You forgot all the money Biden sent overseas while people in the US don't have clean drinking water.

Not to mention that Orange Man lowered corporate tax rates which created facilitated the ability of companies to invest in higher payrolls - i.e. more jobs and better pay.
You laugh, but the price of food will continue to rise drastically. Harvest right now is abysmal. The drought conditions have completely depleted the crops in the Midwest. Note that we’re currently living on last year’s harvest. This time next year will be shocking to many.

…or enough electricity. Imagine if you lived in a place where you had to ration your electricity. Good luck with all that.
Re "Trump was pro-energy": Literally all he did was cut important environmental regulations and then lie about the outcome. Those regulations were in place for a reason. Even with those cut regulations, the US trajectory toward becoming a net exported or energy didn't change during Trump's term; he just says it did, and tells you that you hate America if you check the stats. Also he lowered the amount of oil in the strategic reserves when there was no need to; and of course he lied that he "filled them up to the top".
Re "The economy still hasn't returned to its pre-pandemic peak": By most measures, it has. Unemployment is down to where it was pre-pandemic, the stock market is higher, etc. The factors like inflation that are still bad are a completely predictable outcome of the pandemic, are global, and are under very little control of the US president. There's nothing to suggest that the circumstances would be different under Trump, except that unlike Biden, Trump would lie about the numbers and claim that the economy was "the best ever".
Re "Biden's answer is printing more money": Biden's taking a pretty standard approach to handling the kind of crisis he inherited. He lowered the deficit in his first year. He's doing pretty much the same thing Obama did when he inherited the housing crisis, just follows standard economic principles, doesn't pretend he's invented some miracle solution, just does his job and eventually gets us out of the recession. Trump was the opposite; he inherited a growing economy with a shrinking deficit, pretended he was going to eliminate the DEBT, then he ballooned the deficit in his first year and lied about it like a child.
I hold Biden to the same standard as other elected officials; I judge his actions case by case, call him out for his failures, and call him out when he misleads or lies. I hope you'll do the same for Trump.
