Boston's too important of an event to lose its status as a WMM. I could see the argument for taking that honor away from Chicago in lieu of Valencia for sure, though.
My sincere hope is the next title sponsor would be one of the following:
Dunkin
Wawa
Wahlburgers
I would totally run a BQ just to sign up for that first year's finisher medal.
Doubt Dunks will take the plunge on sponsorship.
Maybe cvs?

The shame is that like a lot of insurance companies, John Hancock was a mutual entity owned by policy holders. Then, the CEO orchestrated a going public transaction in which (surprise!) he got phenomenally rich. That was compounded when the newly public company sold to Canadian giant Manulife. As a mutual, JH could be a good corporate citizen of Boston and support the event as a debatable marketing expenditure, but really as a civic contribution. Nowadays, it doesn’t help the bottom line.

Which brings up another point....do people actually change insurance companies due to TV ads? The number of Progressive and LIberty Mutual commercials is amazing.
crack cocaine had no billboards, the numbers racket did fine with no radio ads, all word of mouth. not sure advertising does anything.
