Between coaching changes, injuries and age (she turned 30 this summer), she's been less and less competitive the last few years. She dropped out of Doha after semis because of back problems, and she didn't make it out of the semis in Tokyo. From her WA page, it looks like she's run a few national level 100s this year, including winning the Dutch championship.

While they got the baton around some of the passes were a bit precarious.

I understand that we got the baton around, and that's a big deal. But the relays are boring. It's (minus Usain bolt relays) basically just a game of whether or not we get DQed. No other country is even competitive. And minus Usain bolt, no relay has team has beaten us from a competitive stand point (unless we DQ ourselves) since probably Sydney. The Olympics were won in 38.1 last year I believe.

Each continent should get to forms its own 4x1.
