It’s because rojo scolded Gault on the message board because he didn’t start enough troll threads. Privateky, Rojo probably threatened Gaults job if he didn’t ride the Di<k train to clickbait.
If you are going to ask this question, why do it so poorly. Why not just ask, "Do you feel in your mind you have the WR as people think FloJo was doping?
No one will sit down and talk to LRC while they flock to the Citius house for their live show. While they are not perfect, I am enjoying what Chavez and Merber are doing because it is a celebration of the sport and we really need that now. They even call themselves the “Today Show” of track. It’s fun and refreshing compared to the LRC daily show full of ludicrous hot takes from Rojo while Gault and Weldon try to talk him down.
I appreciate good journalism but LRC is just becoming horribly cynical while looking both old and tired. There is a way to get at truth but “gotcha” questions in the mixed zone is not the way. You guys look like jerks and further cement your poor reputation, especially with women athletes. Good luck getting an actual long form interview with anyone based on this nonsense. The athletes, their agents, and the power brokers of this sport know who you are.
Recently got mocked by Sha'Carri Richardson, scolded by Erriyon Knighton (being called "disrespectful" by an 18-year-old has to sting 😂), crossed the line with Werkuha Getachew and asked invasive, personal questions about Norah Jeruto's finances.

And they think they're doing a good job throughout all of it...

Hahahahaha, can you imagine these morons doing a long form interview? Jeezus.
But here's the thing. I don't think the blowjos WANT any type of long form interviewing on this site. They purposely go after the controversial gotcha questions because it can generate "headlines" on this site and more clicks. Plus, when people don't really answer their ridiculous questions, they think it allows them to climb right back up on their self-imagined pedestals of supposed moral authority over our sport. They think it confirms their conspiracies when people won't answer them.

They literally interview athletes for up to an hour on the podcast all the time. What are you talking about?

This site is the TMZ of running
I would have said The National Enquirer but I take your point.
Gault was clearly trying to create controversy by drawing her into questioning the integrity of another athlete. This was not the time or place for that question and SJ shut it down immediately.

A dead athlete that cannot defend herself. Classy move!

yeah I think Shericka (and a lot of people on here and twitter) interpreted his phrasing "only one person has run faster and it's in question" as "well yours is in question too then" which is an obvious dig, when he meant "do you view yourself as the clean WR holder?" which is an obvious praise. it's not really an important question to ask, but no questions in the mixed zone are very important, e.g. "how did it feel to win..." or "what was the preparation like..."

I agree.
I thought it was obvious he was saying "Many would say you might be the clean WR holder. Do you agree?" But it seems she interpreted his question differently and got offended.
That was pathetic. What did Gault think he was going to get out of that? "FloJo? That b#tch was doped to the gills. I am the WR holder and I spit on her grave!!!!"
Pro runners have one job. Win races. If you have journalist credentials and get to ask them questions at WCs, it is a clown move to try to get them to dump on the WR holder. And Jackson wasn't even born until six years after FloJo's WR.
