He's now almost four seconds under the college record, but since it's out of season and he's done with college, it counts under the much tougher category of the summer after college, where three post-collegiates now have run 3:30, Lagat, Wheating, and Garcia Romo, and his is the fastest (and, like Centro, he could have returned for another year, but he's 23, so just like a redshirt senior).

Out of all the posts on this thread, these two seem like they predicted the future best.

But he did PB the next year and was pretty much as good/better. Wheating never looked like he got back to the magical form of that one season.

The Spanish Rocket needs to find a new coach yesterday. He is supremely talented and was unreal under Vanhoy at Ole Miss. I bet he'd do well with Powell.

Does he still have eligibility left?! I can see him running for Rowan University.
