It's possible he could be stripped of his British citizenship as it was obtained through fraud. In which case, Crammy gets his rightful GB 1500m record back.
This might be the most disgusting post I've ever read on the internet. You think a child slave is fraud? If anything, the Brits owe him a lot for letting one their residents use him as a slave.

My god.
I love your post rojo but still have a few questions/observations.
1) The woman who brought Sir Mo to London has been approached by the BBC for comment, but has not responded.
Why isn't she arrested?
2) MO says his mother and brother have never been to the UK? Why not? Is he bitter?
3) It sucks that being trafficked to the UK and being denied school for a few years is way better than being stuck in Somalia.

Rojo, I don't often agree with Coevett but in this case he is more right than you are. Just think about who produced Mo Farah's video, it's Red Bull, not exactly the most trustworthy company out there.
And also just think about all the big holes in Mo Farah's not believable story. Why would he be getting sponsored by doing a Red Bull video instead of actually, yah know, do the most simple and logical things decades ago like going to the police and getting his master's captured? And speaking of which, just how do you think Mo Farah got away from his supposed masters? I don't know about you, but I hear slave owners and cold traffickers don't exactly let their assets just walk out the door. So many big holes in Mo Farah's tale.
What most likely happened is that Red Bull paid Mo Farah big money to say the wild things to stir up attention for them. And he was never trafficked as a child or used as a slave but it was day to day chores with the family he lived with.

It's possible you could be stripped of your British underwear and paraded through the maddening crowds of Mogadishu with a placard around your neck saying racist **** Coevett from letsrun.com
Maybe Coevett should be stripped of his British citizenship for being dumb enough to not realize Wightman and Kerr have also run faster than his beloved 80s hero.

It never ceases to amaze me that people could think or post these things - that he is making this whole thing up, for money.
I can understand why people are so protective of Mo here though, including Rojo. He's the ultimate 'proof' of their idea that East Africans are 'natural born runners'.
If Mo's London 'family' were willing to lie about his identity, turn him into a 'child slave' etc, I wonder what they were willing to do when he showed a little athletic talent as a teen and pound signs started to appear in their heads? Certainly avoid answering the doorbell...

It's a BBC co-production, I have a lot of faith and trust in the BBC.
I think the police will now pick up this story and pursue the relevant person, who appears to have been named.
As to how Mo got away; it's clear you don't understand modern day slavery. Take an 8 year-old child from a developing country, take them to a new country in Europe where he doesn't speak the language, has no resources at all, what do you expect him to do? Run away? He'd be on the street, and if he gets picked up by the authorities, he will have no way of navigating the immigration and asylum system. I'm sure threats would have been made towards his family in Somalia. I don't know how traffickers work in Somalia, but in countries like Albania and Romania, young people (usually girls) are trafficked to Western Europe l. When there, they won't be chained to a radiator, fear of the traffickers and the reprisals for their families back home will keep them from trying to escape.
The question I'd ask to people who don't believe Farah's story is: what does he gain by telling it? What would be the point? He's hugely famous in the UK, he's rich, and popular (he won Sports Personality of the Year, a literal popularity contest). He has nothing to gain. It looks to me like he wanted to be truthful about who he is and his background - something that British journalists have never been able to clarify. He's also throwing a light on the shameful immigration system in the UK.
I don't care if you don't like Farah or even if you think he doped, that's fair speculation in T&F. But questioning his story just highlights the limits of your experience and curiosity.

100%
The guy has lied so many times, yet we're expected to break down in tears at this unlikely sob story?
@ Rojo, pretty sure he was never a child slave, and he (or rather his family) defrauded the UK government and people to gain citizenship, just like he defrauded Steve Cram out of his record, as well as others out of medals and places on teams.
If there's any half-truth to this story, it's likely Mo is older than his official age, which makes it even more implausible his transformation into GOAT at an advanced age.
Other stars fading out of the limelight are coming out as 'gay'. Mo obviously can't do that or risk being paraded through Mogadishu in his Union Jack underwear, so this is the next best thing to stay relevant.
