Great job Cornell! Is that a heps record for Iverson? I was surprised to see that large of a lead group going into cemetery after a 1510 5k. Legit fast field.

Also as pointed out in the replies, while this is the Heps record it is not better than Dave Merrick's conference record of 23:51 from 1975.

And I believe Martin Fagan has the 8K record from Big Easts of 23:48?

I don't know of any good internet database with historical VCtP results. But also with how much the course has changed and had the start line moved around the difference of a few seconds means nothing.

Main point is that Iverson is freaking good.

Considering how Blanks almost broke the 24-min barrier on that course, he's pretty good too. Perhaps #4 in meet history at VCP (behind Iverson, True, and Donn Cabral [2010, 24:03])?

VCP is a smooth race track compared to the undulating terrain Merrick encountered.
