Her form over the hurdles getting better and her physique is getting better. Scary.
Bol is going to be a formidable challenge for the next two OGs. Bol is younger. She was even with McLaughlin through nine hurdles. Bol's physique is still very underdeveloped. Dutch women was phenomenal athletes.
The incredible DM-SM rivalry will give way to the incredible SM-FB rivalry. Who knows? may even to sub 50s.
You know, after the reading the posts on here I found her run and post race interview on YouTube, expecting the interview to be awful. It was totally fine. She gives a quick reference to God (last time I checked she was American and had the freedom to believe what she feels is true), and her demeanor was pleasant. Sure, she was a little wooden and not a media darling type, but the way you all are going in about it I was expecting a train wreck. She was far better than most NBA players when they're interviewed on the court post-game. Let's play a game...after your next race while you're still catching your breath get someone to stick an iPhone in your face and ask vague questions and see how you do. I thought her race was amazing and her interview was fine for an introverted woman who just ran the fastest any woman has ever run in her discipline.
Reading and laughing at some of the comments about McLaughlin's composure after her world record run. She's focused and serious and trains hard. But some are criticizing her composure. How do you want it. Composed or bragging like Sha'Carri?
As someone else asked and for some reason was deleted - was her husband getting on the track again saying he was her coach. If she wants to preach about her god in every interview then the opposing point of keeping your religion to yourself or deal with people telling you to shut the f u
Marie-Jose Perec’s 96 Olympic gold time of 48.25 is the fastest legit 400 in my opinion and is doable, but not 47.60 which about even with flojo’s records for the dirtiest of all time....
I had the same though about Marie Jose-Perec. What do you think is the legit women’s 800 record?
