The "best ever" talk is getting old particularly when it is clear and obvious that Sumner is better. Sumner isn't the best ever so there is no way in hell that Flatt could be.

Sumner is the brighest US 800 prospect in a long time. He also has thremdous potential as a 400/800 dual threat. The superiority of Sumner over Flatt will become obvious in a few years when Sumner fully develops. Flatt is already fully developed.

Not necessarily. He is just coming from the anaerobic side of training vs the aerobic side. I don’t remember RoJo asking how fast he does his 200s 300s 400s etc. It sounds like everything he does is short, so it’s probably all very fast

Whenever I read comments like yours I am reminded of how there is an extreme dearth of critical thinking skills today. I am also amazed that there are people that can't string even rudementary sentences together.

People are not really ripping on Flatt. Most comments that I read about him are that while he is good, Sumner is more than likely better and has more potential in the future. People have also stated that Flatt seems to be very mature for his age, an indicator that he may already be near the best that he will ever be, and Sumner seems to still be developing. People are not wrong. When you compare the two of them, Flatt looks like he's between 21 & 23 years old and Sumner looks like he's about 15 or 16 years old.

The fact that these honest comments trigger you, says that you more than likely are Flatt or you have a crush on him.

My impression has always been that these predictions of who will develop more are about as accurate as flipping a coin.

Here is something to think about. Is sumner too fast? Sure there are a few guys who were faster but at what point do you become too fast twitch for the 800m...21.6 indoors is getting fast...

The thing that worries me for Sumner is that because he is with Pros, there is a chance he could get boxed in? Hoping he gets in great position but Flatt shouldn't have to worry about that in his race.
