you aren't wrong about that. thinking about ritz specifically makes me wonder if athletes that had to fight/rehab through many injuries also tend to make for better coaches.

I actually think Rupp would be a great coach. He’s a true student of the support, works his butt off, and would have a superb attention to detail. If you ever listen to him actually open up about training it’s clear he knows his stuff

Agree. And I believe he spoke about coaching someday when he did a podcast last year after his fast 10000m in March 2021. Very intelligent guy
