you're only coming for the one side of the coin, not even talking about the severity and effect of the other side through the years not only for tuohy but for every athletes being talked about here

Once again semi takes a thread that is about something else and turns it into a "I have to defend Tuohy" thread. Why? I guess because her honor was challenged by the implication that somehow she might be in the group of runners who did not respect Roe and just let her go, when anyone who has seen the race and post race interviews knows that was not the case. So 17 or so semi posts later out of the 45 in this thread including this one here we are.

I would have stayed in my lane but people really had to bring up Tuohy on a thread that is not even about her, taylor roe's comment was about the runner in the front not giving her respect by going with her...Tuohy was not part of that group. Why someone has to make the thread about getting respect in Letsrun and mention Tuohy? Katelyn doesnt even get respect here ... mostly disses and burnout and other negative stuff going on here.

I quickly replied how katelyn tuohy was not part of the said "group of runners who did not respect roe" ...Im not dumb, you knew i knew where she was when roe surged.... so why would i even be challenged of such thing?? for what??

BS, the 4th and 15th posts in this thread by you took it astray.

"roe surged and had a pretty good lead and yet she just won it .25 seconds over tuohy... less than half of a second katelyn was running the last 600 faster than roe, she ran the last lap WHOLE SECOND faster than roe, now thats why people believed Tuohy could have won that race because its a reasonable "WHAT IF" what if there another 100m .... what could happen? what if katelyn wasnt boxed out, what could happen... they also weighed in the fact that Tuohy has developed somewhat a pretty good finishing kick.

btw Cook just went after Tuohy's 3200 m record and came up a second short.....9:48.25, perhaps that will assuage semi....please feel free to delete this as it is off topic (as are a whole lot more posts in this thread)

A few wild predictions to scoff at: The Big 12 distance train is about to roll. Roe backs up the talk with a 4:10. A back-in-form McCabe goes sub-9:30 (en route to a 3000S showdown with Wayment in Eugene). A McCabe/Roe/Cook podium sweep at XC Nats this Fall.

I agree. This whole quote wasn't about Tuohy. It was about Taylor and her race and the move that she made. She didn't say anything about Tuohy directly. I thought what Taylor said was awesome. I like women having that competitive fire. Men do stuff like that all the time (see: Cade Flatt).

The goal is to win, the time is just the means to the end. Its amazing to me that everyone obeses about the times but somehow for horse racing nobody every cares about the time. We need more track gambling I guess.
