Sahlman 3rd. 3:39.5. Festus Lagat ftw
Sahlman looked strong. He ran a few extra meters in lane two.

55.9 last lap for Colin.
Disappointing performance for Sahlman. You gotta wonder if he’s just cooked for the rest of the year.
3:39, with a 55.9 close for Sahlman. Pretty impressive stuff.

Closed in 55.93. Probably should have gotten closer to the leaders earlier. Still, a good performance.
Good race for a high schooler. Does he belong in the Bowerman mile? Not a chance.
Colin lost at least a second with all his huge swings to the outside. Good experience for him

I'm excited for Anna Camp Bennett in the 800, she won the 1500 in her last two races (a heat win at Bryan Clay vs. Alexa Efraimson and an overall win at Penn). She also ran 2:01 in the 800 coming on really strong at the end. Could be close to 2:00 and maybe under if everything goes right.
As already mentioned Raevyn Rogers in the 1500 is intriguing, I'm thinking 4:10-4:12 after her 1:58 season debut.
Cory McGee had a mediocre indoor campaign (although 4th at USA is solid), but I think she will bounce back to win the 800 over Akins and Baker.
GDS should blow away the field in the 1500, sub 4 potentially? although don't know who else will be capable of that so maybe 4:00-4:04 range. Osika and Schlachtenhaufen have the experience to challenge while Hurta and Caldwell are young and on the upswing.
Section 2 of the women's 5k is intriguing, as Wasserman, Rainsberger, and Donaghu are recent college grads who have been consistent and looking to reach the next level. Curious to see how Rainsberger does after joining Team Boss, as she looks pretty dialed in on Instagram.
The seeded section of the women's 5k should give Wayment a good chance to get an NCAA #1 time, I'm thinking she runs 15:08-15:10. Orton should be around that too. Tons of good names in this field, but I think Kelati will win it in around 14:55 with Elly Henes, Natosha Rogers, and maybe Klein or Buchalski challenging.
10k - dub to Kelati
You mention Hurta at 23yo and Caldwell at 20 in the same phrase. One of them may challenge.
Great run from Sahlman. Surprisingly good result from Jamaine Coleman. Festus Lagat looked amazing. Waleed Suliman looked like he completely overestimated his fitness

Isn't 3:39 better than a 3:58 mile?
Festivus or Fastivus for the rest of us?

He didn't look cooked. He just sat at the back for the first 3 laps. He needs to learn to run closer to the front to cover the leaders moves.

didn't know Kendrick was a Letsrun user
CS was targeting a sub 3:40 and hit it. He's been pretty much money with his races all year. Good experience heading into Pre. He's shooting for sub 3:55 there; hopefully he can run his best race.
Kids got a kick!!
Webb ran 359 indoors then 353 outdoors. Sahlman will never get under 356
WHOA!! Wilson with a huge p.r. 1:58.1!! Face plants right at the line.
Nia Akins skips the 1:59s entirely with 1:58.8! And the other A__e Wilson PBs with 1:58 low, shame our top 3 in the women's 800 is so stacked because we have depth as well.
