Are you seriously denying that the First Amendment to the AMERICAN Constitution recites "freedom of speech"? How can a free man enjoy his own happiness if his speech has been abrogated by forms of tyranny and fervent mania? He can't. Happiness and speech go hand in hand with the virtues of liberty and justice devised by the Founding Fathers. They knew this, but sadly many alleged Americans have since forgotten.

The First Amendment protects Americans form government control of speech.
Nothing in the First Amendment guarantees that you can say anything you like wherever you like with zero consequences. And it doesn't prohibit private companies from imposing restrictions on speech by customers or employees.

By the way, the Founding Fathers did not 'devise' liberty and justice -- the concepts had been recognized long before they were born. The Founding Fathers wrote them into the Constitution.

Maybe you shouldn't lecture people, like some soapbox dirge, about things you lack the historical and legal sophistication to lecture about. The bottom line is that America is a land of truth and freedom, despite your wishes that it was not. The Founding Fathers killed so that we would know liberty, and they knew that Constitution like the back of their hands. They devised that we, the American people, are "endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights." Our rights can't be alienated.

Well, my trollish friend, I have two law degrees and know quite well what the Constitution says and doesn't say about free speech. But as it seems that you think I am inventing a limitation on free speech, here is the text of the First Amendment:

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

Note that it is a limitation on government actions limiting speech. It isn't a limitation on actions by private entities (i.e. businesses and employers). It also doesn't contain any broad guarantee of free speech. If we agree that the Founding Fathers were smart, knew what they were doing and how to do it, then it is inescapable that the Constitutional right of free speech only applies to the right to be free of governmental restrictions on free speech. If that isn't good enough for you, take it up with James Madison.

How about if you just sit there and mind your own business. No one else on the plane cares about your opinions on anything or wants to hear about them.

btw, they complained to the flight crew, not the air marshal. And then after many requests to leave and lots of unhinged yelling by the woman, the air marshal was called in.
