If you take that part of the West LA metro - say west of Topanga, in the last 11 years Nico Young and C Sahlman of NP won NXN/RL, Sarah Baxter of Simi Valley won NXN 2X and Claudia Lana of Malibu won FL 2X. So 6 national championships in 11 years and a good chance a boy or girl from the area will win again next year.
Going back further in time, Kim Mortensen from Thousand Oaks, Bryan Dameworth from Agoura and Eric Reynolds from Camarillo were 3 other FL champions from that same area West of LA. So 7 national champions with 9 titles between them within about a 25 mile radius. And another one likely coming.

obv this area lacks altitude, but ranks very high in the other four ingredients above. if you could somehow keep the other four factors the same and increase elevation to about 7000' the result would be absolute domination every single year.

Exactly. I think she is incredible to watch and can’t wait to see what she does in the future. She has leveled up girls HS running in CA and it’s good for everyone

She is entered in the 1500 at the Portland Track Festival this weekend (6/10-11).

I would rather see her stay at Ventura. They got a really young team. Only 1 person on varsity is older than her. Can’t wait to see what they can do in 2 years!

Interesting that MileSplit has her ranked 7 and Tully has her ranked 4. Should she really be ranked ahead of athletes like Shea and Riggs and Peters? Even in state rival Thomsen? Not sure. Maybe on the track.
As for Ventura, I noticed that two freshmen followed Sadie in for second and third at the Gaucho Invitational last weekend. So yeah their future does seem bright. I bet Sadie is relieved not to be the "break through new comer" on the team anymore. Although Im sure the pressure is no less as a sophomore.
