This is a sad story, would like to be able to say.....she is only 22 she can turn this around.....but I just can't see that happening. What a waste, what a talent, and what a mess.
From Rae's Take, word on the street is that she's "gone Hollywood" and hasn't been training. She also posted and took down a picture with her new "enhancements" about 2 months ago. If she can capitalize on being a social media personality, more power to her. She seemed to have more passion for that than track anyway.
Cannabis should be banned just for the stink alone. It is disgusting. How anyone can smell that and not vomit is beyond me. The funk is nauseating. I hate it! Get away from me! Yuck...
No disrespect to Thomas, Daniels, Steiner or whoever, it's going to be rough going for a couple of years for the U.S. and the rest of the world. It not that the USA ladies are running poorly, it's just that the Jamaicans and up and coming Mboma are on another level. As fast as the Jamaicans and Mboma are running, I suspect they will run even faster.
I mostly agree but I really hope that Mboma is not allowed to compete until her testosterone is suppressed to an acceptable and fair level. Let’s put them all on a level playing field.
Agreed. And lest we forget, Mboma would have just had another testosterone boost this year. The 200M WR is in danger this year. With Mboma practicing her 100 and just recorded an 11:00 for her first race, no one will beat her in the 200M this year - not even ETH.
You mean the Tori Bowie who won the world 100 title in 2017, Olympic 4x100 gold, 100 silver and 200 bronze in 2016, world 100 bronze in 2015 and was fourth in the long jump at the 2019 worlds? THAT Tori Bowie? Yeah, she never got it together.
Maybe this year at age 31 she will pop back up and sweep the sprints at Eugene.
Yes, her. Where is she? She is young enough to still be sprinting near the top odlf her game.
She had a major quad injury and has not fully recovered. She also left her coach due to a major altercation with Miller-Uibo.
I hope Richardson gets her act together and realizes he full potential in the sport. Would be sad to see her leave the sport. It is however her path and she must determine what works best for her. I wish her the best.

Where are you getting this info? Howe come nobody is reporting this? A Quad injury would be legitimate and no reason to hide it.
There were posts about it in 2019. She also mentioned it when she was interviewed after that street race in Boston in 2019. She disappeared for quite some time after the 2017 season and this was stated to be the cause of her disappearance. Her return in 2019, she was a shadow of her former self, not even being able to run sub 11.5
Gone are the days when the US female sprinters were a dominant force.
The Jamaican Girls will Sweep in Oregon.
Assuming that Mboma doesn’t compete, and I hope that she doesn’t, you’re saying that Jamaica will sweep the 100 & 200?
Between ETH, SAFP, and Shericka Jackson, the 100 seems the most probable event for them to sweep. Throw Briana Williams in there for the 4 x 100 and they’ll take that also. Williams just turned 20 last month and will only get better. There’s a good chance that they will take down the nearly 10 year old 4 x 100 world record of 40.82 that is held by the United States. That quartet nearly did it in the Olympics with a 41.02. Relays are unpredictable, though. A slight bobble on a hand off, a little delay on the steps, timing off, etc. If all goes smoothly for them, the record should come down.
The 200 is a different story. ETH should get the gold. Mboma excluded, she in a class by herself. SAFP is still formidable over the 200 but she’s better at the 100. Jackson’s 200 has improved. The US women could crack the top 3. Remember, Gabby Thomas ran the 4th fastest time in history last year with a 21.61 and her early form looks good. Abby Steiner still has to prove herself in the outdoor 200 and stay away from the injury bug but I believe she’s capable of getting into the 21.7 to 21.8 range. Her coaches seem to be pacing her this year and bringing her along slowly so that is good given her injury issues. Also, don’t forget about Anavia Battle, Jenna Prandini, and Tamara Clark. Any of them are capable of a breakthrough. Allyson Felix seems to be more a 400 person now so I’m not sure she’s there.
From other countries you have Miller-Uibo and Asher-Smith that could potentially contend.
It’s just too early to say that the Jamaican’s are going to sweep both events.
Abby's 22.38 into a 5.6m/s headwind converts to a 21.66 according to
And I agree she has not seemed to be on pace to get burned out by the NCAA season. Hard to say where she will be in a few months but she is definitely one of the top three 200m runners in the world right now
She was on PEDs and the Marijuana ban from the Olympics was a front for a more serious PED. Been saying it all along. Another top US sprinter testing positive would stain the sport incomparably. This is a business first and foremost.

Why don’t you cite a credible source that says that she was on PEDs and quit talking out of your äss like you always do. If you can’t do that, STFU…
