I wish I could agree with you. Your estimate for what will occur seems reasonable. Based on Zelenskyy's statements earlier this week that Ukraine will fight to the last man and Biden over the past couple of days saying Putin is an awful man ... . It does not leave room for a negotiated settlement. Unfortunately for the world, I am sure Putin wakes up daily calculating risk/reward of use of tactical nukes. Unfortunately, due to people in U.S. media bragging about causing Russian killed in action, Putin, no doubt is considering pulling all ground troops and solely relying on artillery and bombing missions. Putin has lost too many men to withdraw and say, "Never mind." I really wish there was a peaceful solution. Biden, a 1950s guy won't allow a peaceful solution.
Zelensky has already accepted neutrality in principle, and Ukraine's claims of Russian casualties are absurd. They're in a completely defensive posture, the air above them is hostile, and Russia has not been launching massive suicide attacks.
