Please restore the preview function which has been taken away which is a great disadvantage because I just posted the results from France and it is very messy and this would not have happened had there been a preview function so please would you restore that preview function as soon as possible, with thanks.

+1 on restoring the preview. I make a lot of typos. There're a lot easier to see in the preview mode.
And this upvote/downvote was a waste of programmer's time and doesn't add meaningfully to the forum. Delete it.
Case in point, when I quoted the above post, it had a -1 vote. Why would anyone downvote the preview mode? You either use it and like it (+1) or you don't use it so why would you care? The downvote is just a troll messing with the voting system.
Good stuff. Thanks for investing in making these changes. Also appreciate you fixing the “follow thread” functionality - noticed that started working again
The “report objectionable post” is an eyesore. It catches the eye too much when looking at a post due to its length and dark color. My recommendation would be to shorten it to “Report Post” and lighten the color a bit.

Preview has been done for a while right? We can look into restoring it but I don’t think it was a recent feature
I will work on re-adding a preview feature soon. Few use it but enough of you have spoken that it makes sense to reimplement it.
Are there surveys or server-side data collection or something? Or are we just going with our gut?
This comes up a lot when justifying design decisions here: "few use it", "that isn't important" (wejo talking about blocking unregistered posters) etc - how are you arriving at these decisions?
The Blocking users capability is lame. Creates echo chambers, and stifles information flow and learning opposing views.
May I suggest:
Blocking capability should be on a thread-by-thread basis. Just because I believe Joe Schmoe Political Opponent is a lunatic on political matters, doesn’t mean his or her input on a running-related thread can’t be valuable or spot on.
If there is a crazy guy who always stands on a particular corner in my neighborhood mumbling complete nonsense, am I stifling information flow by choosing to walk on the other side of the street and ignore the guy? If there's a child throwing a temper tantrum at the coffee shop, am I creating an echo chamber by putting on my headphones and tuning the kid out?
The few people I've blocked on LR are basically the online equivalent of these examples.
No, the Preview was there a couple days ago. Without it, I am lost.By the way, as I was replying here (on a popup at the bottom of the page), an ad covered up the "Post Reply" button. That's a little annoying. Overall though, very nice upgrade.
