Why would non members of a pro running group buy their apparel ?

I have purchased a variety of running-related gear over the years because I love the sport and want to support it however I can. It's called being a fan. I bought a NAZ Elite t-shirt because I liked what they were doing and wanted to support them. Likewise, I've purchased BTC shirts and I bought a Portland Pulse shirt from the short-lived TrackTown Summer Series (anyone remember that?) because I was at the meet. I've also purchased items like the Black Cactus t-shirt and the LetsRun t-shirt. I have discretionary money and I want it to go to the entities involved in the sport I enjoy participating in and watching. Why wouldn't you buy a t-shirt emblazoned with OAC or NAZ Elite or Union Athletic Club or Hansons or Brooks Beasts, etc. if you like the athletes and want to support their efforts and promote the sport?

Remember the Florida Track Club logo of the 70's? Just a simple orange on a shirt and the word Florida. It became popular beyond track & field.
