I have not gotten it and my goal is not to either! I don’t want to feel like crap and be stuck in my little apartment for 10 days straight or 5 days or whatever it is now.

If that means I don’t go out to a bunch of places during these surges then so be it. I live in a state where masks are required at most places, so have been wearing one and also have to wear one to work. Don’t go out a bunch right now with omicron but when numbers were less, I did travel a few times and went to restaurants. Also vaccinated/boosted. Maybe I’m lucky or maybe I’m just taking necessary precautions when needed?

Just hit our family over the holidays. Lucky me, I didn’t get it, everyone else did. So I was ordering food and prescriptions. Took my step grandma to the hospital, everyone else did great.

I mean, if you’re never tested then you’ve never had covid. Doesn’t necessarily mean you never had covid.

The only article written about how teachers wearing masks affects student learning is based on quotes from teachers in Vancouver, not education researchers and not from peer -reviewed journals.

This article was focused on young children and ESL children.

As a result, the findings would be almost irrelevant when applied to a high school population and its sports teams.

There is no support to conclude that mask wearing teachers negatively affect learning in high school.

Why would anyone assume that the extent of his research was reading Facebook and Breitbart?

I’ve been working in retail immersed in humanity since this whole thing started and have not gotten it. A few co-workers had it and were mildly symptomatic for a short time, but other than that it’s been quite anti-climactic thankfully, but admittedly it has made it difficult for me to take it all that seriously and/or believe the sky is falling.

Just lucky I guess.

I haven’t had Covid, and I haven’t changed a single thing. I’ve gone to work every day. I have run in groups two to three times a week. I go into stores ten or 12 times a week. My wife and I go to a winery every week. If it wasn’t Let’s Run and the news, I wouldn’t even know Covid even existed.

Who is the oldest person you actually know who survived Covid.

My Neighbor's dad is 95 and survived Covid.

Probably! Just joking. I take care of an elderly couple (87 & 83) and so am very careful as giving them the virus wouldn't look really good on the caretaker. I really, really, really look forward to moving past this!

I believe that many people likely have had it and not realized it because it really is mild for many people. My family had it, but only knew we had it because of a known exposure. My children's symptoms were all very mild. One teenager was asymptomatic (tested positive), one had a runny nose, and the oldest teenager lost taste for 2 days and had a runny nose. It took me 4 weeks to get it in my own house (it slowly went through the family one by one because we isolated whoever had covid). My only symptom was a very slight runny nose. Very mild- like I needed a tissue twice a day. It was much less severe than a cold or even allergies. I never would have suspected I had covid if I wasn't quarantining. The only person in our family who had any typical symptoms was my husband. He was flu like- aches & tired for about a week. This was in 2020 before vaccines were available. I believe 3/5 of us would haver never known we had covid if we didn't know about our exposure. I believe the death rate is much lower than estimated because many healthy people do not even exhibit any symptoms.

Covid basically wiped out the unhealthy and really old people for the most part. Those people were basically living off miracles of modern medicine. People's life expectancy was much shorter even a couple of hundred years ago. Don't be surprised by this. This can happen again. It just happens Wuhan Virus hit people with bad cardio system and lungs. And who are those people? Giant fatties. This is why American were hard hit by the Virus. China had far less casualties even though the Virus originated from there.

Never got it. I am unvaxxed and never wear a mask. I work in a school with over 3000 students. No one else in my family has gotten it either.
