This was my thought as well. Coaches and teammates.

Houlihan was at Infeld's wedding in Mexico so I don't think there was/is personal issues between the two or other athletes. Could still be frustration with how the situation was handled by the group/coaches as a whole though.

BTC is on a break til Jan 1 when they start training together again. No idea why people are speculating she left.

Because she has a) posted a bunch of workouts on social media just herself and her husband doing them together while simultaneously b) she hasn't appeared once on BTC social media in the same period of time c) track folks in Beaverton are telling me she isn't with the group anymore.

"Wedding/honeymoon so will rejoin team in Jan like Lomong" - Lopez Lomong lives in Europe part time with his wife who works there. If Lomong's wife liived in Portland he would be training with the team right now. Infeld is in the same town doing hard workouts (stuff like 20 x 400) and long runs at the same tracks and trails as BTC but not doing them with the team. Given all that I'm inclined to listen to the rumours. Same people were saying the 2nd Stafford and Seccafien joined the group before it was public saying Infeld has been gone since August.

Same day, same track, same time, same photographer as BTC and Union Track Club or whatever Pete's group is called. Infeld says "Max and I had 800s." Not "the team had 800s." BTC posted pictures of the workout but none showing Infeld even though she was clearly at the track at the same time. They haven't posted about her since mid August.

Would be bizarre to do a different workout at the same time and track if she was still in the group and even if for some reason she rolled it solo, the BTC didn't include her in their socials (and haven't for 4 months).

This is such a stupid post. No one is outing Emily Infeld's location. We are discussing who her sponsor may be going forward and what group she may or may not be training with which is/will be public knowledge.

You're drawing all kinds of people to her instagram right now, and this thread draws all kinds of people to her who never would have given her a thought. If nothing else, the practice of having long threads speculating about female runners and their whereabouts should have come into question when one of those previous threads about Infeld here on letsrun was driven by a dangerous stalker who followed her through it and was arrested. Who knows how long he'll be under wraps and who knows how many others will appear? It's not as if this is a bastion of sanity.

As a libertarian and a centrist, I have the right to discuss whatever I please on this message board.

Infeld should stop drawing attention to herself. Learn from Galen Rupp and abandon social media.

Your rights have nothing to do with your politics. Your rights are based on the country in which you are a citizen and reside. You don't have the right to discuss anything on a private message board, as we see with the constant censorship here. But as long as the brojos tolerate talk about a stalked athlete, you have the right to discuss it. The question is not whether you have that right but whether you should exercise it. I say no.
