Fitness influencers are for the most part frauds. None more so than the jacked dude selling supps who never discloses the real supps they're taking to get their 'gains'. Showing yourself to be a snake oil salesman is not great for business.

I've never watched more than a few seconds of this guy's videos. Nothing he does has any appeal to me. Like I said, I would be impressed if he or any of these influencers went out and ran sub 2:50 barefoot. I know a few people who have done it and they are impressive to me because I run barefoot and I know that's hard. It's way harder than running that time in shoes, and it also takes being unconventional and truly thinking outside the box. Most barefoot runners I know are unconventional, but the ones who are athletic and fast are very few. They are impressive. Nick Bare is not impressive to me. He's a conventional guy doing conventional things. He isn't saying or doing anything inspirational to me. Just selling more of the same stuff. I don't mind sending other people his way to watch his videos. More power to the guy.

Very impressive. Just like his "3 hour" Marathon I would like to know what the real story behind that is.
Probably family money to back him up.
They had the course Boston qualified. Races kept getting cancelled because of Covid. He ran 3:24 at the Austin marathon the year before, you really don’t think he could go sub 3 after that with professional coaching?
Because its a bunch of skinny beta male runners who hate watching a man who weighs more than 140 pounds do what they can do. The insecurities on these forums are strong. Nick Bare is impressive for doing what he does at his size.
I hope there was something off in the testing video. If not, he has a LT of 6:20 and aims for a marathon at 6:17-6:29 pace (2:45-2:50) :-). He still has some time though

Pretty unorthodox..no true long run. 14 miles on a really long workout day. 1 workout a week. 66 miles in 6 days with no doubles.
M: 10 miles easy
T: 10 miles easy
W: 2 miles easy + drills & strides
7 miles at 6:15-6:20 pace; jog 400m
1 mile at 6:05-6:10 pace; 2:00 walk rest
4x800m in 2:50; 1:30 walk rest
2 miles easy
T: 9 miles easy
F: 8 miles easy
S: 15 miles easy
S: off
