The issue is you don't lift enough weight for it to be more difficult than a 10 mile run.
Try a heavy deadlift session with a lot of volume and get back to me about which you feel more the next day.
No, the bar is not considered heavy.
No, 25s on each side is not considered heavy.

I'll put the bar relatively low, 10 x 10 with 225lbs then get back to me.
I'm not saying that's optimal but picked that fun set/rep scheme since someone mentioned GVT.
Soreness isn't a good proxy for mental toughness. You don't feel the soreness as you do the workout. You can happily crank your lifts and only pay the price after.
Running, though, you pay the price in agony on the spot. Very different. Much harder.
Great job on the "Tell me you've never lifted hard, without telling me you've never lifted hard."
You literally don't know what you are talking about lol Do you think you don't "pay the price in agony on the spot" while deadlifting or squatting. I dare you to tell that to any serious lifter to their face and see what reaction you get.
Many different types of elite lifters, spend more time lifting than elite runners do running, and spend a higher percentage of that time doing "hard" work. If you don't know this you are either ill-informed or delusional.
