It says 6 playoff teams for me. And I made the change in schedule. 14 week regular season. Playoffs weeks 15-17.

I’ve played as FAAB for several years and have enjoyed it with additional strategy involved with it.

Ca$h Clay, I keep trying to reply to your message on ESPN, but seems like there are technical difficulties so i'll just reply here with my thoughts. I'm fine playing how everyone wants to, but just wanted to share my thoughts.

1. Having kickers. It looks like most agree of having kickers. I agree with this as well.

2. Playoffs: I like how it's set now of championship on week 17 with 6 teams making the playoffs. I think 8 is too many and 6 seems like the right number.

3. PPR is fine with me.

4. Waivers: I prefer playing with FAAB over inverse order of standings. With FAAB, it adds an element of strategy in budgeting and economic decision-making when managing your roster. It's great that inverse order allows to equalize competition more. However, one of the problems with inverse order is that it disproportionately helps teams that lose the first few weeks, since that's typically when good value is found on waivers.

In my other long-running ffl league, there is debate from time to time about whether to abolish the kicker position and I can understand it. I just like the random element that it introduces along with the D/ST, and it makes some otherwise awful games interesting. OTOH, I hear some people use the same reasons for gambling on games which I never do.

One guy I know did some detailed analysis about picking kickers and he showed the difference between rank 1-10 was negligible compared to skill players.

I just saw your message. I have to go to work now. Whatever the general consensus is about waivers is fine by me. I have never played in any league that didn't use the default settings for waivers but I am fine with whatever. So any one who has a preference can say so here and we will go with what gets the most votes.

it's such bush league by AFC Richmond to drop all of his players since he's out of the playoffs.

Make sure to never invite him to the league again.

If any non-playoff teams see this, please use your waiver wire order to pick up players like Godwin and Henderson so it doesn't go do a playoff team.

Strange that we're reverting to posting on a public message board about our private league, but I agree that no one should pick up Richmond's dropped players, but commissioner can make it right by putting them all back on the team and locking Richmond's roster.

Weird league - no updates from the commissioner ... ever. No real chatter on the message boards and no meaningful trades. It's as if we are all a bunch of runner geeks trying to play FF :-)

I don’t think it’s that weird with no updates or chatter as it’s a league with bunch of strangers. It’s not a league where we know each other.

With trades, maybe they were bad trades? Most trades aren’t accepted as its not that fair and one side is getting fleeced. Or, to make a trade, it’s good to do small talk to find out the needs and be more of a salesman in order it to go through.
