Filip has always had injury problems. Henrik is also unlucky throughout his career with injuries.
Unlucky or just overtraining? Injuries are a fact of life when training on the edge. They might just be getting a bit to close.... Probably racing in practice to hang with their little brother😂

Gjert experimented to a more degree with Henrik and Filip training wise in their younger years while Jakob came to a covered table more or less. Could be one reason. Who knows. The toe problem had nothing to do with overtraining tho.

100%
Gjert has said on more than one occasion in a coaching class that Henrik was the guinea pig for this whole thing (keep in mind Gjert had no experience with running).
Filip has had allergy issues, and that liver thing a few years ago but has been unlucky.

lol you realize greatest of all time is singular. jakob has proven he is great, but to throw around GOAT like MF on these boards is dumb.
I agree. He needs to either repeat as Olympic champion or run a world record to be considered GOAT in the men’s 1500m. And that’s specific to the men’s 1500m. He has incredible potential in the 5k and 10k. I do think he could double for golds in the 5k/10k in 2024 and 2028. However, he may just keep at the 1500m. I mean is he even drinking age? Lol

Jakob has no love for being an athlete. The training atleast. Its at best a hate/love thing. A necessary evil. His sole motivation is to achieve greatness. Can almost guarantee that he wont have 1500 as his main priority any more if he beats the WR. Then he will move on to 5k and 10k. Maybe he even retire while still in his twenties.
How is Ingrid, the young Ingebrigtsen sister, doing with her running?

El G has 8 of the top 10 fastest 1500 times ever. He has 5 global 1500 gold medals and 2 silvers. Jakob has a long, long way to go, even if he gets the WR.

7, not 8. Yes, he has a long way to go in that respect.
The father learned to coach with the older ones.

Even children get older,
And they're getting older too.

But not that old, though?
I guess there is a decent argument to be made that 1500 peak occurs around 22-25 for most.
